Good morning! Happy Canada Day!
I’m having a bit of a rough morning. About to make more coffee and take it to the patio. I’m hoping the fresh air will help. Waking with #CPTSD is difficult, most days I can sort of shake it off and get through my day. However, I live with pain, nightmares, flashbacks, #anxiety, repression ( I work overtime to keep my mind busy), hyperarousal (difficult to relax), irritability and guilt. People with PTSD often blame themselves and constantly relive the event, wondering how they could have prevented it. They live with immense shame and guilt even though they shouldn’t.
We can do this and some of us adapt easier and have found ways to help move past this. Thankfully I’ve learnt tips on how to do so. It’s a never-ending battle.
#themusicinmyheart
The ocean sings
A song of love and loss
My heart lies listening
To its rhythm
As it tells a story
Of lovers at sea
Coming
And going
Sinking into the deep azure
Their hearts floating
To the heavens
In love
Gripped by the mighty
Too young
Alone
Taking that breath
With paintings of love
In their hearts
Drifting to a new place
The sounds of heartache
Echo in the waves
True love never fades
It rides the ocean
Waiting for its love
❤
Have a beautiful day. ❤

Good morning to you! Hope it’s a good day, my friend. 🙂
