Good morning! Happy Saturday! It’s going to be a quiet day. My PTSD Is lingering but overall it is at a low. (thankful & blessed) I made a decision If I don’t have my family home by December this year I’m going to go back overseas and stay there with my family.
Today I’m working on Genavine’s Hell & My Heart For You. I’m waiting on a beta reader, then Genavine’s Faith can be released. My pen’s calling and I don’t like to keep it waiting. Today’s poem is about PTSD and being open to help. XOXOX
Not everyone understands PTSD/CPTSD
What is PTSD?
PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) is a mental health problem that some people
develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event, (For example) combat, a natural disaster, a car accident, or sexual assault.
It’s normal to have upsetting memories, feel on edge, or have trouble sleeping after this
type of event. At first, it may be hard to do normal daily activities, like go to work, go to
school, or spend time with people you care about. But most people start to feel better after a few weeks or months.
If it’s been longer than a few months and you’re still having symptoms, you may have PTSD.
For some people, PTSD symptoms may start later on, or they may come and go over time. PTSD is and never will be something to be ashamed of, reach out you are not alone.
#FallUntoMe
I cry a thousand tears
I watch
As they flood my world
I see the others swim
As I drown in my blue
I taste my salty tears
As they cover my face
I lower my head
Attempting to look away
I notice a hand
Reaching for me
I hesitate but take it
Feeling its firm grip
I follow it
Into the shadows
It lifts me
Taking me from the dark
We walk the light
Drifting in the wind
We dance through out time
I am not alone
I will not drown
I forgot I have wings
That allow me to fly
I forgot I am strong
And that I can breathe
I forgot I am alive
I live
❤
Have a beautiful day.
