You were meant to shine

What do you notice when you look at this?

I see the colours of the rainbow, a miracle beneath the clouds. I see the earth thriving to live to its fullest and succeeding. I see a lesson at hand…with all the earth has to put up with it still shines.

Don’t let anyone put out your fire, you were meant to shine!

The Shadows

The light sunk into the earth
Power rose as it did
Darkness stroked the minds of all
Then beckoned for the dead
I seized the moment to try to pray
But there was no answer there
An echo of the memories
Challenged my thoughts in despair
I wonder this earth in search of light
The shadows I ride
I am truly filled with kindness
But I hide that deep inside
In this dark world
Your heart must hide
An echo of time itself
I put my love and my dignity
Beneath satisfactions shelf
Here I am
I scream and yell
Nowhere am I heard
I fight the wickedness that surrounds
The darkness we call earth.

In the sky

Up in the sky

Watching us

Is the keeper of the stars

Searching for love

He holds us dear

And watches close

When love is near

He gives us a shove

Here we are

Beneath the earth’s light

Playing loves tune

Running through the night

Sending kisses

From the moon

Reminding us to be patient

For love will come soon

I am but a broken rose

Here I am a broken rose with nothing but these thorns

Never in my life have I ever wanted more.

I have the sun and the moon

But without you neither exist

My heart is in danger and my soul is at risk.

What could have been

What should have been

Echo in my heart

It’s been almost a year now

Since my love was pulled apart.

But every day and even when the moon falls

I can hear those words from your lips

My heartache hits the wall

Your love hunts me like a wolf

Chasing me down

With a hunger for love

Yet you’re nowhere around

What could have been

What should have been

Never will be

So, grab hold of this one track ride

And set my heart free

Never Alone

Frank sat up in bed and peered out the window. He felt different this morning but wasn’t sure what it was that made it that way. The city was quiet at that time of the morning, and if you listened quietly, you could hear the pigeons cooing at the park across the street. Frank let out a sigh and reached over for his glass of water off the nightstand. “Good morning handsome,” said a voice. Frank turned quickly and looked around his room; he was alone last night as far as he could remember. “Hello?” Said frank in an unsure voice. “Don’t be startled, I won’t hurt you.” Frank jumped up from the bed and gazed around the room frantically. “Where are you and why are you in my room?” The voice let out a soft giggle, “I’m not in your room.”

What genre do you enjoy?

Franklin

The night was cold and dark. The air was filled with a thick white fog; only the moon lit the way. Franklin checked his watch and then peered down the dark path; he had heard the rumours about being out this late. Someone or something wandered the streets, and those who were caught out never made it home. Sometimes a body would be found, but others just disappeared, never to be seen again. Franklin tried his best to creep down the path without making a sound; his heart thrashed against his chest with every moment. His breath grew shallow as panic continued to build in the pit of his stomach. He wanted to run but was scared that he might alert someone that he was there. Franklin stopped and listened as he heard something coming up from behind him. The panic rose; filling his chest. Should he run and try to make it to safety? After all, it was just a rumour, but what if it wasn’t and something was out there.

Enjoy your day!

Lit

The sky lit up and shone down onto the field where the woman laid, the lights so bright they could be seen for miles. Hailey lifted her head and looked up at the source of the light, her eyes widening as tears fell from her gentle eyes. “What is this?” she sobbed. Her heart beating heavy against her chest and her body shaking in fear, she asked once again. “What’s happening?” A figure appeared from the light and stood in front of the mortal woman. Her eyes lit up as she lifted her head and saw a beautiful angel standing before her. The angel smiled; offered the lady her hand, then without a second thought, they both disappeared.

GOOD MORNING! I thought I would drop by and say hello. I enjoy playing around with stories on the side. Let me know if you enjoy them.

Anxiety And Its Wicked Ties To Writers

Good afternoon! I spend a lot of time writing so not all of my posts are long; most are short. I wanted to touch on the subject of anxiety.

How many of you have anxiety?

Did you know that most writers have anxiety in one way or another.

Do you think anxiety effects a writers manuscript in a good or bad way?

My thoughts on it are this, and is only my opinion. Anxiety is a trigger to any heightened emotions. Most people who suffer with anxiety can not verbally express it therefore it comes out through the writing they do. Each emotion they feel is expressed deeply. I think it helps create a book to the full depth of expression.

For example I’m passionate about life, love and nature; I see things in detail others might miss. I believe my anxiety has heightened my other senses. I’m sure if you have anxiety you have noticed your senses heightened too.

Anxiety can be attached to phobias. Here are a few examples:

  • acrophobia, fear of heights
  • aerophobia, fear of flying
  • arachnophobia, fear of spiders
  • astraphobia, fear of thunder and lightning
  • autophobia, fear of being alone
  • claustrophobia, fear of confined or crowded spaces
  • hemophobia, fear of blood
  • hydrophobia, fear of water
  • ophidiophobia, fear of snakes
  • zoophobia, fear of animals
  • alektorophobia, fear of chickens
  • onomatophobia, fear of names
  • pogonophobia, fear of beards
  • nephophobia, fear of clouds
  • cryophobia, fear of ice or cold

There are different types of anxiety.

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Panic Disorder
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Social Phobia (or Social Anxiety Disorder)

People can have more than one type of anxiety and they are usally attached to other disorders.

I have a social phobia/panic disorder. I live it daily from teh time my eyes open until I fall asleep.

If you suffer you are not alone. A lot of writer have anxiety and it helps to stick together.
